Expansion and renewal of power supply
The project is expected to be completed in 2021. Together with our client Linjemontage, Bergvik has been entrusted with supplying Iso Floor installation flooring for these areas. The total area covered by switchgear flooring is estimated at approximately 600 m2. The hospital will be expanded in accordance with a master plan that has been drawn up, in which the first stage of the expansion and modernisation of the hospital is called D1, which includes the addition of more space to meet some of the hospital's increased needs.
CAD - The process
Bergvik's CAD department gets involved at an early stage, designing the floor and suggesting how Bergvik wants the floors to be built to handle the loads involved. This gave Linjemontage the chance to get an early idea of what the solutions would look like and what changes needed to be made to simplify the installation of equipment and ducting. After completion of the installation, documentation is provided so that future users can easily see how the solution is constructed.
Solutions
Bergvik has used different versions of Iso Floor in all areas. The flexibility of Iso Floor allows Bergvik to easily design the floors to suit the equipment available. In this case, integrated transformer stands and transport aisles have been used to roll in and set up the 6,000 kg transformers located in some of the rooms.

When Ryhov County Hospital opened in 1988, it was one of Sweden's most modern hospitals. When it became clear that operations were changing faster than the premises could keep up, a master plan was drawn up that included a property development plan. The plan contains strategies and plans for the continued development of the hospital over a 20-30 year period.

Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping has approximately 3,500 employees and is the largest hospital in the county. The hospital was founded in 1988 and was the second most expensive construction project in Sweden during the 1980s. Today, Ryhov consists of 34 departments and has more than 400,000 visits each year.
