FAQ If you have any questions that are not adequately answered here, please contact Erik Thörnqvist by mail or on phone +46 270 72806. What features and benefits does Iso Floor offer?
Iso Floor has a high lateral stability which means that all panels
can be removed without the risk of the floor shifting.
The free-standing, high stability Iso Floor structure means there is no need for wall support. Bergvik can provide multiple floor panel sizes to accomodate/fit any size of cabinet depths. This way, no panels are locked down by equipment which makes it easy to feed cables into the cabinet. Future equipment expansion can be built into the floor design. Grounding of the floor structure is sufficiently accomplished with only two (2) grounding wires placed in opposite corners of the floor mechanics. See BAY 614 raised floor instruction under downloads. The unique system flexibility allows the operator to use existing buildings that normally might not be considered acceptable for central office switches. This could present considerable cost savings. For example, a building with a sloping or uneven sub-floor does not present a problem for the Iso Floor system. To do this, Bergvik can offer pedestals of different lengths to account for such problems. Obstacles such as cable trenches, existing pipes, ventilation drums, etc. are easily addressed by moving the floor pedestals (Lx & Ly) sideways. The equipment can be bolted directly to the Iso Floor BAY 614 structure.
20 working days plus delivery time as a standard.
Bergvik can provide floor layout CAD drawings based on your detailed equipment
layout. Bergvik can provide Installation.
You need Earthquake Bracing to physically protect your equipment from mechanical failure due to an earthquake.

Finished floor heights for Iso floor range from 350 mm (14 inches) to 2200 mm (86.5 inches).
Iso Floor has been installed in more than 100 countries.
Questions to ask the operator during a site survey in reference to
using Iso Floor BAY 614 include: Check the ceiling height (the minimum ceiling height required is 96
inch + floor height). Verify that the floor material can easily be transported into the installation area.
Approximate installation time for: Non seismic zone = 1.7 m2 (17 sf) per man hour. Seismic zone 1-2 = 1 m2 (10 sf) per man hour. Seismic zone 3-4 = 1.7 m2 (17 sf) per man hour for the floor plus 1.5 man hours per seismic bracing frame.
Yes, all components of Iso Floor are recycleble. The steel components
do not contain chromium 6.
Yes. The full flexibility of Iso Floor allows for adaptation to any
type of equipment. You can even build a floor in a tunnel!
